One of the most rewarding gifts I receive from my profession is having the opportunity to see how people can build resilience and strength to face the most challenging circumstances in life. I have seen firsthand how people have reshaped and built a completely new version of themselves with patience and consistency.

I am passionate about helping others find tools that can help them cope with life’s challenges. As soon as you walk in through my doors, I assure you that you will enter a space where you will feel safe, heard, respected and acknowledged.

I firmly believe that a strong therapeutic relationship relies on connecting with the right counsellor and Seira Therapy is here to help you discover and unleash your potential.

As a Registered Psychotherapist, my areas of specialization are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) for trauma intervention. I have also supported couples to improve their communication skills through Gottman Institute Method Couples Therapy. I have extensive experience working with women affected by domestic violence, trauma, grief, and sexual abuse, as well as with individuals with disabilities, specifically acquired brain injury (ABI).

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, specializing in crisis intervention, from ELPAC University in Mexico and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University which allowed me to become a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario.

I was born and raised in northern Mexico but moving to Canada many years ago truly helped me understand the cultural differences and immigrants' challenges many of us face after leaving our home countries. Canada has now become the place where I build my family and that I am grateful to call “Home”.

A fresh perspective can be eye-opening when facing problems, and I hope to inspire your growth by teaching you self-compassion. If you are looking to reinvent or rediscover yourself after a traumatic experience, deal with a disability, or explore how to overcome the challenges of becoming a newcomer in Canada, I would be honoured to support and guide you through this journey.
